Job summary

Hyde Square Task Force (HSTF) is a Boston-based nonprofit focusing on Afro-Latin arts and youth development. The Development Director will lead fundraising and communications to secure $3.5M+ annually, drive a major capital campaign, and guide a growing development team from a Boston Latin Quarter base.

Based in Jamaica Plain with a hybrid work model, the role collaborates with the Executive Director and senior leadership to meet ambitious targets and strengthen donor relationships with

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of progressively responsible fundraising experience.
• 2–3 years in a leadership role.
• Track record of meeting $3M+ annual targets.
• Experience with major gift cultivation and donor stewardship.
• Ability to write compelling donor communications.
• Experience with fundraising CRM systems (e.g., Bloomerang, Salesforce).

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Executive Director to advance fundraising efforts and meet annual goals.
• Lead the development and communications team and oversee staff and consultants.
• Drive data-informed funding strategies including a $3.5–5 million goal range.
• Oversee fundraising events and the capital campaign coordination.
• Develop and implement donor engagement plans for major gifts.
• Ensure cohesive strategies across institutional and individual giving channels.
• Manage reporting and communications to funders and the board.
