Job summary

Director of Development at Classical Theatre of Harlem will lead the planning and execution of all fundraising efforts to achieve sustainable growth from government, foundations, major gifts, individuals, corporate, and events. The Director will join the Senior Team, collaborating with the Producing Artistic Director and COO to advance artistic and community impact.

Currently, CTH operates with a $2.5M budget, about 90% from contributed sources.

Qualifications

• Experience in fundraising for cultural arts organizations, foundations and government funding.
• Proven history of meeting or exceeding contributed income goals.
• Ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders and donors.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of all fundraising efforts to achieve sustainable growth from government, foundations, major gifts, individuals, corporate and events.
• Collaborate closely with the Senior Team, including the Producing Artistic Director and Chief Operating Officer.
• Inspire and steward a broad network of donors and stakeholders to support the theatre’s artistic and community goals.
