Job summary

Seven Tepees Youth Program in San Francisco is seeking a Development Director to lead fundraising and marketing, forging new donor relationships and guiding long-term financial sustainability.

The role is on-site and involves working with the Executive Director and program teams to create and execute development plans, manage budgets, and report to the board while expanding community partnerships and fundraising initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of development experience with broad responsibilities.
• Proven track record in fundraising campaigns with high net goals.
• Experience in donor cultivation and stewardship.
• Experience with database/CRM systems.
• Knowledge of communications and marketing best practices, including social media.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organization and teamwork.
• Ability to work with diverse youth, families, staff and volunteers.
• Commitment to Seven Tepees’ mission and values.
• Preferred: Salesforce, MailChimp, and Classy knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive annual development strategy engaging foundations, corporations, individual donors and other stakeholders.
• Supervise contractors, interns and volunteers; coordinate with programs and admin staff.
• Oversee development budgets and fundraising reports; provide timely data to leadership and board.
• Lead major fundraising events and end-of-year campaigns; support planned giving program.
• Research, identify and write grant proposals and reports to secure foundations and government funding.
• Engage volunteers and community partners to expand fundraising capacity.
