Job summary

Greater DC Diaper Bank is seeking its first Director of Development to lead strategy and execution of the organization’s annual philanthropy plan. You will manage grants, donor stewardship, and communications to grow revenue and support family services.

The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on fundraising across foundations, corporations, and individual donors, with a flexible schedule and opportunities to work across multiple GDCDB locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 6–8 years of nonprofit development experience.
• Fundraising generalist experience across institutional giving, major gifts, annual giving, corporate partnerships, events, and online campaigns.
• Experience managing development operations, including CRM management, budget monitoring, and gift processing.
• Experience working with volunteers, contractors, and consultants.
• Excellent working knowledge of Salesforce as a donor/revenue CRM.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic direction and project management of GDCDB’s development portfolio and annual plan.
• Develop, execute, and analyze the annual development plan to meet revenue goals.
• Represent GDCDB to individual and institutional donors and manage grant writing and reporting processes.
• Analyze communications to optimize messaging across fundraising channels.
