Job summary

The Loppet Foundation in Minneapolis seeks a Development Director to lead fundraising strategy, major gifts, and donor relations. You will partner with the Executive Director, Board, and program leads to grow support and sustainable revenue.

You will manage a small Development team and coordinate with Marketing on communications and events. Responsibilities include crafting donor communications, stewarding major donors, building sponsorship plans, and ensuring data integrity with Finance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years nonprofit fundraising with 3+ years in a senior development role.
• Experience in major gifts, foundation giving, corporate partnerships, grants, annual giving, and donor events.
• 5 years supervisory experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication, leadership and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive development strategy to meet fundraising goals.
• Create donor communications and appeal letters; track and analyze campaign effectiveness.
• Supervise and manage the Development team; develop work plans and ensure goals are met.
• Serve as primary staff liaison to the Development Committee of the Board of Directors.
• Build out an annual sponsorship plan to engage corporate supporters; manage donor portfolio.
