Minnesota Council of Nonprofits is seeking a Development and Communications Director to lead fundraising, donor engagement, and grant development for the organization’s mission and impact. This role is a strategic, relationship‑driven leadership position based in Minnesota.

The role oversees annual and major gifts, grant strategies, and communications, with collaboration across teams to advance youth health equity and nonprofit support statewide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; combination of education and experience acceptable.
• Five+ years of fundraising and leadership with a verifiable track record of raising funds and/or closing deals.
• Experience summarizing and reporting financial/operating results to a Board of Directors.

Responsibilities

• Developing and overseeing annual, major gift, planned giving, and capital fundraising initiatives.
• Identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding relationships with donors and funding partners.
• Developing grant strategies and managing the full grant lifecycle, including proposal writing and reporting.
• Planning and leading fundraising events and multi-year giving programs.
• Overseeing communications plans, media relations, and external publications.
