Job summary

The Santa Barbara Education Foundation seeks a strategic, relationship-driven Director of Development to lead a comprehensive year-round fundraising program in Santa Barbara, CA. You will build donor pipelines, manage major gifts, and collaborate with the Executive Director, Board, and programs team to expand philanthropic investment in local schools.

Qualifications

• Proven success in developing and executing fundraising plans.
• Experience with major gifts and donor stewardship.
• Strong written and verbal communication for donor outreach.
• Ability to forecast revenue and manage development budgets.
• Ability to build relationships with executives, boards, and supporters.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual fundraising plans with clear goals.
• Lead major gifts, donor engagement, and stewardship activities.
• Manage foundation and corporate partnerships and reporting.
• Oversee development operations and CRM governance.
• Collaborate with leadership to engage the Board and volunteers.
