Job summary

The Salvation Army in Charleston, SC is seeking a strategic fundraiser to lead the Community Relations and Development function, guiding donor communications, cultivation, and campaigns. You will manage print, broadcast and social media outreach, events, and relationship building with advisory groups.

You will develop and nurture a donor portfolio including individuals, foundations and corporations, implement moves management, and ensure timely donor records in Interchange.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of major gift fund-raising experience.
• Experience in donor portfolio management and moves management.

Responsibilities

• Raise funds to enable the mission of The Salvation Army in the assigned command.
• Develop and nurture a donor portfolio including individuals, foundations and corporations.
• Respond to donor inquiries professionally and maintain donor records in Interchange.
• Collaborate with officers and development staff to meet fundraising goals.
