Job summary

JGS Lifecare Communities in Massachusetts is seeking a Development Director to lead strategic fundraising initiatives and grow philanthropic support across our programs. You will manage donor relationships, oversee development operations, plan events, and partner with senior leadership to align giving with organizational goals.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of fundraising experience, strong communication skills, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, business or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of fundraising, nonprofit development, or community relations experience.
• Proven success in donor cultivation, fundraising campaigns, events and donor stewardship.
• Knowledge of fundraising best practices, charitable giving, sponsorships, grants, and donor database management.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual fundraising strategy, including annual giving, donor stewardship, planned giving, and multi-channel campaigns.
• Cultivate and manage a portfolio of mid-level donors, identify major gift prospects, and strengthen donor relationships through personalized outreach.
• Direct fundraising operations by overseeing development systems, gift tracking, donor communications, reporting, and supervision of the Development Coordinator.
• Plan and lead fundraising events, cultivation activities, and community engagement initiatives while building strategic partnerships with businesses, civic organizations, and community leaders.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align development efforts, enhance donor experience across all giving levels, and support organizational fundraising goals.
