Job summary

ICA San José is seeking a Director of Development to coordinate fundraising initiatives including major and planned giving, annual appeals, sponsorships, events, and donor stewardship. The role drives revenue growth, forecasts operating budgets, and reports to the Board on fundraising initiatives and financial projections.

The Director liaises with the Board and staff to implement campaigns for exhibitions, collections, programs, and endowment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years fundraising experience.
• Experience with multi-year giving, annual appeals, and events.
• Strong knowledge of Bay Area arts philanthropy and nonprofit boards.
• Grant writing experience and capital campaigns.
• Budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and steward Trustee giving and board recruitment.
• Lead donor solicitations and cultivation visits.
• Develop board fundraising engagement plans.
• Create tailored major donor strategies and proposals.
• Oversee annual Benefit & Art Auction and events.
• Track prospect stages and moves using a CRM.
• Produce regular fundraising and financial forecast reports.
• Coordinate with ICA staff and committees.
• Enhance membership programs and renewals.
