Job summary

ICA San José is seeking a Director of Development reporting to the Executive Director to coordinate fundraising initiatives, including major and planned gifts, annual appeals, corporate sponsorships, events, membership, and donor stewardship to grow revenue.

The role develops revenue forecasts for the operating budget and prepares reports for the Board and committees, while stewarding the Board of Trustees and implementing campaigns for exhibitions, collections, programs, and endowment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate fundraising initiatives including major and planned giving, annual appeals, corporate sponsorships, events, membership, and donor stewardship.
• Develop revenue forecasts for the operating budget and prepare reports for the Board and committees.
• Steward the Board of Trustees and implement campaigns for exhibitions, collections, programs, and endowment.
• Serve as staff liaison to the Board’s Development committee and design fundraising strategy for the Annual Benefit & Art Auction.
• Collaborate with the Development and Membership Coordinator to supervise and co-create successful fundraising programs.
• Maintain a visible community presence and participate in networking events, including evenings and weekends.
• Knight Foundation grant-funded position with potential extension.
