Black Voters Matter Fund is seeking a Development Director to lead the national and state fundraising strategy and to grow major donor support for BVM’s C4 and C3 arms. The role directs development operations, grant writing, donor relations, and reporting while collaborating with communications and finance teams.
This remote-friendly position requires residency in Atlanta, GA, and offers a compensation range of $165,000–$185,000 with extensive benefits.

Development Director is the leader of Black Voters Matter (BVM) Development team with a primary purpose to increase the financial support of BVM Fund (C4) and BVM Capacity Building Institute (C3). The Development Director will direct a wide range of fundraising activities, including administrative functions, which include oversight and management of a donor database, grant writing management, fundraising events, and identification, prospecting and cultivation of large and small donors, and public and private institutions. The Development Director will help to support expansion of BVM’s approach towards mobilizing voters as well as BVM’s broader objective of advocating for racial justice and building power for Black and marginalized communities.
This position reports to the Executive Director.
Salary range: $165,000–$185,000, commensurate with experience.
