Job summary

The Peterson Institute for International Economics (PIIE) is seeking a Development Coordinator to support fundraising, donor engagement, and development operations. Reporting to the Vice President for Development, you will help manage donor communications, grant reporting, and prospect research while collaborating across teams.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, tech-savvy, and capable of handling confidential information, with experience in donor relations, fundraising, and Salesforce.

Qualifications

• Approximately 2-4 years of relevant experience in development, fundraising, donor relations, nonprofit administration, or a related field.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience handling confidential donor and institutional information.
• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate donor communications, acknowledgments, and stewardship materials.
• Track donor engagement and support cultivation and stewardship of donors.
• Assist in preparing briefing materials for meetings between leadership and donors.
• Support timely follow-up with donors and prospects.
• Maintain donor records and grant files in Salesforce with data integrity.
• Process gifts and ensure proper acknowledgments and reporting.
• Prepare development reports and dashboards for leadership.
