Job summary

Forever Balboa Park seeks a Development Coordinator to join the Institutional Advancement team in Balboa Park, San Diego. This role coordinates projects, supports donor relationships and the Membership program, and keeps fundraising initiatives moving forward.

Under the Director of Institutional Advancement, you will gain experience in annual giving, donor stewardship, grants administration, events, digital engagement, and gift processing.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of relevant nonprofit experience or internships.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with professionalism and attention to detail.
• Collaborative approach with donors and teams.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and ability to learn new tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate projects and initiatives across the Institutional Advancement team.
• Maintain fundraising calendars and timelines; ensure on-schedule delivery.
• Coordinate donor meetings and internal planning meetings; prepare materials for leadership and boards.
• Support donor stewardship, annual giving campaigns, and grant reporting.
• Assist with donor engagement events and post-event follow-up.
• Collaborate with Database and Digital Engagement to ensure accurate data and reporting.
