Job summary

Bristol Riverside Theatre is seeking a Development Coordinator, Individual Giving to support donor relationships, cultivation, and fundraising events. You’ll work with senior leaders and a small team to move donor activity forward and ensure timely stewardship.

You will coordinate programs, maintain records, and help plan the annual gala and related donor experiences, contributing to a vibrant arts community at our Bristol Borough location.

Qualifications

• Experience in fundraising, membership, or a related field.
• Strong project-management, follow-through, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with Tessitura or other donor databases.
• Comfort working in a small, highly collaborative environment.
• Confidence working with senior leaders and colleagues, respectfully prompting action and advocating for development needs.
• Good judgment and discretion with sensitive information.
• Availability for evening and weekend participation in performances and donor activities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate BRT’s individual giving program (appeals, donor cultivation, and fundraising events).
• Maintain accurate donor records in Tessitura to track relationships and follow-up.
• Prepare Producing Directors and trustees for donor meetings (research and presentation).
• Support the Associate Producer and Honorary Producer programs; manage thank-you letters and donor benefits.
• Manage logistics for the annual gala and smaller donor events with support from leadership.
• Coordinate donor meetings and experiences that connect supporters to BRT’s artists and community.
• Parse data with colleagues to identify prospects and convert audience members into donors.
• Process gifts, deposits, and track development expenses.
