Job description

We're a Seattle-area nonprofit looking for a highly organized, resourceful, and warm professional to support our development team and help drive our fundraising operations. This is a hybrid role: part office manager and part development coordinator. You'll keep things running smoothly day to day while playing a hands‑on role in our signature fundraising events, including an annual gala, a community walk, and our year-end giving campaign.

This role is a great fit for someone who thrives on variety, loves being the person who keeps everything organized, communicates well in writing and in person, and gets genuine satisfaction from seeing an event or campaign come together.

What You'll Do
  • Manage the Executive Director's calendar and correspondence
  • Draft and edit letters, emails, reports, and board materials
  • Maintain donor records and gift tracking in our CRM (we'll train you on our system)
  • Draft appeal letters, thank‑you notes, and donor communications
  • Support our year-end giving campaign
  • Coordinate logistics for our annual gala, including vendors, registration, and sponsorships
  • Support our community walk, including permits, volunteers, and day‑of logistics
  • Manage event budgets and expense tracking
  • Create graphics and social media content using Canva or similar tools
What We're Looking For
  • Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with a proven ability to juggle multiple projects at once
  • A strong multitasker who can move between admin work, donor communications, and event logistics in the same day
  • A creative problem‑solver who thinks outside the box, especially when plans change
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self‑motivated, with the ability to take initiative and follow through without close supervision
  • Comfortable learning new software and platforms, including CRM systems, event registration tools, Excel, and design tools
  • 1‑2 years of experience in nonprofit administration, development, or event coordination preferred (equivalent experience welcome)
  • Warm, personable, and comfortable working with donors, volunteers, and board members
