Job summary

The Arc Columbia-Saratoga, formerly Saratoga Bridges, is seeking an experienced Director of Development & Community Relations to lead fundraising, marketing, communications and community engagement. This role partners with the CEO, Leadership Team, Foundation Board, and committees to grow support and advance the organization's mission.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, 2+ years in nonprofit fundraising leadership, and a proven ability to build relationships,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, marketing, public relations, donor relations, or communications (5+ years preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual fundraising, marketing, communications, and community relations strategies
• Partner with leadership, board members, and committees to maximize fundraising opportunities
• Cultivate and steward donors while growing donor retention and long-term support
• Lead fundraising initiatives including
• Support recruitment and engagement of Foundation Board and committee members
• Oversee organizational communications
• Ensure consistent messaging, branding, and mission-focused communications across all platforms
• Monitor fundraising performance, analyze results, and prepare reports for stakeholders
