Job summary

SROA Capital, headquartered in West Palm Beach, FL, seeks a Development Associate to support conceptual planning, design, and due diligence for self-storage development and redevelopment projects. You will work with the VP of Development to review proposals, manage consultants, and help shape project feasibility.

The role emphasizes market research, financial analyses, and entitlements oversight in a fast-paced real estate environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in real estate development or related field.
Experience in real estate, construction, or related areas is preferred.
Strong written/verbal communication and Excel-based financial modeling required.

Responsibilities

Support due diligence by reviewing zoning and land development codes.
Conduct market research to inform decisions and feasibility.
Perform financial analyses to assess project viability and returns.
Coordinate with VP of Development to compare consultant proposals.
Oversee planning, entitlements, permitting, and rezoning processes.
Manage external consultants (surveyors, engineers) and meetings with brokers/municipalities.
Assist budgeting and invoicing; contribute to value engineering and plan reviews.
Source new development opportunities and support deal execution.
