Job summary

Middleburg Communities is seeking a Development Associate to support our Tampa office. The role involves assisting in development, design, and permitting leading up to construction, coordinating with consultants and municipalities, and tracking budgets and schedules for multifamily projects valued around $30M+.

Ideal candidates bring 2–5+ years in real estate development, civil engineering, or land development and can work independently while collaborating across the team.

Qualifications

• Background in real estate development or civil engineering preferred.
• Experience with development deals around $30M+ recommended.
• Ability to work independently in a multi-task environment and communicate with all levels.

Responsibilities

• Support daily activities of multifamily projects from development through construction.
• Assist with site analysis and feasibility evaluating sites.
• Prepare development programs and project underwriting to maximize feasibility.
• Coordinate with consultants and municipalities on zoning, permits, and timelines.
• Monitor development schedules and prepare construction estimates and budgets.
