Job summary

The Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg, FL is seeking a Development Associate to lead major gifts, steward donors, and drive annual giving initiatives. You will manage a portfolio of top donors, plan events, and partner with Marketing and Events to enhance donor experiences.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in fundraising, strong communication skills, and experience with donor databases. This on‑site, exempt role reports to the Director of Development and supports revenue goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years fundraising with successful gift closure.
• Experience with donor databases preferred.
• Capital campaign experience is a plus.
• Certified Fund Raising Executive designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gifts.
• Lead annual giving strategy, quarterly appeals, and digital giving.
• Plan donor events and stewardship activities with cross‑team support.
• Oversee affinity groups and Legacy Society initiatives.
• Maintain accurate donor records and reporting.
