Job summary

Jamboree Housing Corporation seeks a Development Associate to support the acquisition, financing, pre-development, construction and occupancy of affordable housing projects in California. The role reports to the VP and collaborates with project managers, finance teams, and consultants to move opportunities from feasibility through closing.

Qualifications

• Well organized, detail oriented with strong analytical skill.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Two or more years of experience in related field.
• Knowledge of affordable housing development process.
• Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook, Access
• Strong written and oral communication ability.
• Job includes some evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the acquisition, financing, pre-development, construction, and occupancy tasks.
• Coordinate financing applications for affordable projects (HOME, AHSC, MHSA, NPLH, PBV, VASH, VHHP, CDBG, MHP, AHP, TCAC and CDLAC).
• Coordinate, track, and distribute due diligence items for entitlement, financing, and real estate acquisition.
• Coordinate planning and permit approvals.
• Maintain closing documents for all properties; maintain project files, schedules, and directories.
• Review & track development budgets, draws, and budget authority monthly.
• Track deadlines for acquisition, entitlement, funding applications, closing, and project completion.
• Attend Project Management and Construction Management Meetings.
