Gloucester Marine Genomics Institute (GMGI) seeks a Development Associate to advance philanthropic goals through fundraising event management, prospect research, and back-office support for gifts and acknowledgments.

The role supports GMGI’s mission across oceans, human health, and education, with a focus on growing the development program and coordinating with the Development and Executive Directors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2+ years in development, donor relations, or alumni relations.

Responsabilités

• Conduct in-depth prospect research on individuals, foundations, and corporations to inform cultivation strategies.
• Conduct research using iWave and other tools to uncover new prospects.
• Assist the Development Director in executing fundraising initiatives and leadership campaigns.
• Support scheduling, logistics, and follow-up for prospect and donor meetings.
• Provide high-level support for special fundraising projects and initiatives as assigned.
