House of Hope in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Development Assistant to support fundraising, donor relations, and volunteer activities. You will help ensure timely donor acknowledgments, track gifts, and assist grants and reporting pipelines in a nonprofit behavioral health setting.

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree preferred and experience in fundraising or nonprofits; strong organization, communication, and data-entry skills; and a valid Florida driver's license for community outreach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (ideally in non-profit management or communications).
• Prior fundraising or non-profit experience highly preferred.
• Passion for behavioral health recovery.

Responsibilities

• Donor & Volunteer Relations: end-to-end gift acknowledgment, track fundholder relationships, reconcile donations with Finance.
• Grant & Database Support: research grant opportunities; maintain grant database, deadlines, and reporting schedules; participate in strategic planning meetings.
• Administrative Operations: provide clerical and data-entry support to ensure efficient development department operations.
