Job summary

The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis seeks a Development Business Analyst to act as the analytics development partner for Advancement, designing and maintaining reports, dashboards, and datasets that transform CRM and enterprise data into reliable information for decision-making.

The role develops predictive analytics and ML models, collaborates with fundraising teams, and contributes to museum-wide data governance to ensure accuracy, documentation, and shared data standards across systems.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in business intelligence, reporting, data analysis, or analytics.
  • Experience with nonprofit fundraising or membership data is preferred.
  • Strong SQL and relational database skills; data warehouses and enterprise data experience preferred.
  • Experience designing dashboards/reports with Power BI or Tableau, including data modeling and QA.
  • Experience with Python or R for predictive analytics or ML models.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain reports, dashboards, and self-service analytics for Advancement and other departments using CRM and data sources.
  • Translate business questions into analytical requirements; develop queries and analyses to answer complex questions.
  • Develop and maintain predictive analytics and machine learning models (donor propensity, segmentation, forecasting).
  • Create projections and scenario analyses; partner with leaders to ensure outputs are actionable.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Development to integrate CRM and finance data; ensure data quality and governance.
