Job summary

BGRE, a premier Brookfield real estate partner, seeks a Senior Manager, Accounting in Atlanta, GA. Lead development accounting for North American Logistics projects, guide budgeting/forecasting, and ensure strong internal controls while partnering with Development, Investments, and Asset Management teams.

You will oversee a small team of accountants, drive process improvements, and ensure US GAAP compliance across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related quantitative discipline; CPA required
• 5–8 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including hands-on CRE development accounting
• Experience supervising accountants within an institutional real estate environment
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP; IFRS exposure a plus
• Strong communication, analytical and stakeholder management skills
• Working knowledge of Excel; Yardi experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage development accounting for an assigned portfolio of projects from acquisition through stabilization
• Ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, cost control, commitment tracking, loan draws and capital calls
• Support accounting for construction financings, joint ventures, acquisitions, dispositions and recapitalizations
• Partner with lenders, auditors, joint venture partners and external consultants
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and research complex accounting matters as needed
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
• Present financial results and key risks to leadership
• Supervise, train and develop a small team of accountants
