Job summary

BGRE in Atlanta, GA seeks an Associate to join the Capital Projects team. You will own portfolio-wide capex reporting and directly manage capital improvement projects across our office, logistics, and living spaces.

Working with Asset Management, FP&A and external partners, you will develop budgets, forecasts, and schedules while building broad exposure to the real estate lifecycle. Travel will be required as projects span multiple markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, accounting, construction management, engineering, business or a related field.
• 4–7 years of relevant experience in commercial real estate, capital projects, asset management, development, construction/project management, real estate finance, FP&A or a related field.
• Curiosity and interest in both the financial and physical aspects of CRE, with hands-on capital project experience.
• Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel proficiency for budgets, forecasts, spend and large data sets.
• Strong attention to detail and org skills across multiple projects, assets and regions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to convey status and issues clearly across teams.
• Willingness to travel frequently for project meetings/site visits.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead portfolio-wide capital expenditure reporting and tracking.
• Work with Capital Projects Managers on capital projects, meetings, site visits, and coordination.
• Support annual budgeting, quarterly reforecasting, and ongoing capital planning with various teams.
• Analyze project and portfolio performance including budget-to-actuals and risks.
• Coordinate project accounting, accruals and financial reporting with FP&A and Property Accounting.
