Welltower is seeking a Staff Accountant - Development to support accounting and reporting for development and construction projects. The role involves tracking costs, ensuring GAAP compliance, and aiding monthly/quarterly SEC reporting with cross-functional partners.

This position offers growth in a fast-paced, collaborative environment within a leading real estate and healthcare infrastructure company. Ohio-based with minimal travel expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1-3 years of public or corporate accounting preferred.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; CPA preferred but not required.
• Excel proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounting and financial reporting in areas such as fixed assets, development costs, and capital expenditures.
• Track and code development projects’ costs and maintain working papers.
• Assist in consolidated financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, and Non-GAAP disclosures for SEC filings.
