Job summary

The Staff Accountant - Development at Welltower will support accounting and reporting for development and construction projects, ensuring accurate data and compliance with internal controls.

Key duties include recording costs, helping with monthly/quarterly reports, and collaborating with development, asset management, and corporate accounting teams to drive process improvements and automation.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of public or corporate accounting experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; GAAP/IFRS knowledge beneficial.
• Excel proficiency required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Record and reconcile construction costs, capital expenditures, and project-related accruals.
• Assist in monthly and quarterly reporting and in prep of consolidated financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal controls; support process improvements and automation.
