Job summary

Welltower, Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant for Development Accounting in Toledo, OH. You will support accounting and reporting for development and construction projects, recording costs, capex, and accruals, and assisting with monthly and quarterly reporting.

You will partner with development, asset management, and corporate teams to ensure accurate financial data, adherence to internal controls, and opportunities for process improvements while supporting project cost analyses against budgets.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of public or corporate accounting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Record and reconcile construction costs, capital expenditures, and project-related accruals.
• Assist in monthly and quarterly reporting and consolidation.
• Collaborate with development, asset management, and corporate accounting teams to ensure data accuracy and internal controls.
• Document processes and identify opportunities for automation and improvements.
• Maintain working papers and monitor assigned accounts.
