Job summary

Akuity is seeking a Developer Relations Engineer to bridge software development with its developer community through technical content, demos, and tutorials. This remote, full-time role includes supporting developers, gathering feedback for product teams, and driving broader adoption of Akuity’s GitOps platform.

You will engage with the community online, at events, and within partner ecosystems while collaborating with product and engineering to improve the developer experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a strong background in software development to build credible demos and understand developer workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for creating content, giving presentations, and interacting with the community.
• Empathy to understand and relate to the challenges of other developers.
• Strong problem-solving abilities to help developers overcome technical hurdles.
• A passion for building and nurturing relationships with developers and contributing to open-source communities.

Responsibilities

• Content Creation: Develop technical assets like code samples, SDKs, demos, tutorials, documentation, and blog posts to help developers use the product.
• Community Engagement: Participate in online forums, social media, and other channels to answer questions, provide support, and gather feedback.
• Technical Support: Act as a point of contact for external developers, helping them resolve issues and offering guidance.
• Event Participation: Represent the company at developer conferences, meetups, and workshops, and help organize these events.
• Collaboration: Work with internal teams to relay developer feedback and improve the developer experience and tools.
• Evangelism: Advocate for the technology by presenting its value to the broader developer community.
