Job summary

Supabase is seeking an EngProd Engineer in the Engineering Operations group to own the engineering experience from local setup to production deployment. You will build and integrate the tools engineers rely on daily, including local development, code search, testing, CI, AI-assisted workflows, and the metrics that reveal time lost in the process.

This role suits someone who thrives in async, fast-paced environments and loves creating developer tools that engineers rely on to do their best work.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, focusing on developer productivity, infrastructure, or platform engineering.
• Proficient in Go, TypeScript, Python, Rust, and shell for internal tools development.
• Experience with CI/CD systems and pipeline optimization (Github Actions, ArgoCD, Octopus, Harness).
• Experience with local development environments and reproducibility (devcontainers, Nix, Docker).
• Familiar with containerization, image optimization, AI-assisted development tools, and test infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Own the engineering experience from local setup to production deploy.
• Improve local development environments and daily workflows to be self-service for engineers.
• Speed up build, test, and CI with optimized tooling, test orchestration, and scalable environments.
• Integrate and optimize code review tooling and automated review processes.
• Evaluate and promote AI coding agents and assistants that add real leverage without sacrificing quality.
• Track productivity metrics and build dashboards for visibility into cycle times and quality.
