Job summary

Expo is hiring a content writer for developers to create tutorials, guides, blog posts, and explainers that meet readers where they search. You will own weekly hands-on content about AI and mobile development with Expo.

Based in the US, this remote role reports to the Head of Marketing and collaborates with DevRel, docs, product, and engineering. You’ll track impact by signups and activation, shaping the go-to-market content.

Qualifications

• 3+ years writing technical content for developers (tutorials, guides, docs, or technical blog posts), with a public portfolio.
• You can demonstrate an understanding of how SEO works for developer content, and of how LLMs and answer engines choose which sources to cite.
• You have used data to decide what to write, and you can connect a post to signups.
• You use AI tools every day and can talk specifically about where they help and where they get things wrong.
• Plain, precise writing. You cut words and keep the ones that matter.

Responsibilities

• Ship hands-on technical content every week. Case Studies, how-to guides, migration guides, comparison pages, and blog posts about building mobile apps with AI and Expo.
• Own the education hub content plan. Write the problem-first explainers developers and answer engines look for and route readers to the right Expo product.
• Turn SEO and AEO findings into content. Use query-to-content gap analysis and AEO docs to decide what to write, structure pages for search engines and LLMs.
• Contribute content for launches. Plan and execute content for new services with product marketing and engineers.
• Draft video scripts and outlines with Expo engineers for YouTube tutorials and launch walkthroughs.
• Close the gap between docs and real use. Work with docs on adjacent guides and feed product friction back to the right team.
• Tie content to outcomes. Track signups, product adoption, and influenced pipeline in HubSpot and inform future topics.
