Job summary

Exa, a SF-based AI search engine company, seeks a Developer Advocate to build real things with our API and inspire developers to adopt it. You’ll craft demos, reference applications, and integrations while presenting in talks, streams, and workshops.

You should be fluent with LLMs, agents, and retrieval, and comfortable discussing pipeline challenges with staff engineers. The role combines building and public speaking in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a software engineer, developer advocate, or a mix, with code you can show us.
• Real fluency in the AI stack. Built with LLMs, agents, and retrieval; able to discuss tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Own a growing library of working demos, reference agents, and integrations.
• Give technical talks and run workshops to convert attention into API usage.
• Be active in developer communities; provide helpful, timely answers.
• Build and maintain integrations with common frameworks and tools.
• Provide concrete developer feedback to Product and Engineering to reduce friction.
