Job summary

Exa, a SF-based search engine company for the AI era, is seeking a Head of Developer Relations to lead community and ecosystem initiatives. You will own developer evangelism, drive strategic integrations, and build a scalable DevRel function with hands-on credibility.

You will hire and mentor advocates, craft demos and workshops, and partner with PMM and Engineering to showcase Exa through talks, open source contributions, and published content. This role is based in SF HQ.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in developer relations, developer marketing, or engineering with public presence.
• Strong communicator to developers: talks, workshops, streams, or writing with live demos.
• Engineering credibility with AI stacks and retrieval technologies.

Responsibilities

• Own developer community and evangelism: events, hackathons, meetups, and public presence.
• Drive ecosystem partnerships: integrations with agent frameworks, IDEs, and platforms.
• Lead developer advocacy programs: champions, ambassadors, and community contributors.
• Develop demos, reference apps, and technical talks in collaboration with PMM.
• Build and scale DevRel team: hire, mentor, and set high standards.
• Feed product with developer feedback based on onboarding and API ergonomics.
