Job summary

Temporal is seeking a hands-on Manager to lead our Developer Advocates in APJ. You will mentor a diverse team, contribute technically, and engage customers directly while shaping regional strategy.

You'll partner with Marketing, Sales, and Product to plan events, create content, and grow a community of developers across Asia-Pacific. Travel may be required to run DevDays and meet customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in developer advocacy, solutions engineering, developer education, or community work.
• Experience managing people, or readiness to lead a team across time zones.
• Real technical depth; can build, demo, and explain complex tech.
• Organized with requests, priorities, and commitments.
• Experience working with Marketing, Sales, SAs, Dev Success, and Product.
• Experience across cultures and markets; APJ is not a single audience.

Responsibilities

• Hire, coach, and support a team of Developer Advocates across the region.
• Balance time between community work and customer work; triage requests by value.
• Collaborate with Marketing to plan conferences and meetups in APJ.
• Create and translate content like talks, tutorials, blogs, videos, sample apps, livestreams.
• Identify local champions in accounts and nurture their growth.
• Track success: more developers signing up, trying, and sticking around.
• Own DevDays in APJ from start to finish with the Global DevDays lead.
• Capture feedback to improve Docs, Education, and Product for localization.
