Job summary

Aquent is partnering with a pioneering leader in advanced vehicle technology, seeking a technically skilled engineer‑support specialist to enable engineers with reliable access to tools and environments. You will help accelerate development, improve system reliability, and contribute to groundbreaking automotive systems.

The role emphasizes customer‑facing communication, issue reproduction, and collaboration with engineering teams for fast resolution, with potential expansion into CI/build

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience.
• Basic networking literacy (SSH, DNS, VPNs, proxies).
• Cross‑platform familiarity (macOS/Windows/Linux).
• Command‑line fluency and shell usage.
• Version control with Git (cloning, branching, diffs, PRs).
• Strong debugging instincts and clear problem reproduction steps.
• Excellent written communication for customer-facing tickets.

Responsibilities

• Own initial response to incoming requests and acknowledge issues promptly.
• Triage issues by reproducing, categorizing severity, and routing to the right team.
• Resolve or escalate environment/configuration issues as needed.
• Provide precise reproductions and context to engineers for rapid action.
• Improve runbooks and documentation to enable self-service.
• Participate in on‑call rotation for high‑severity escalations.
• Assist customers with remote development environments, setup, authentication, and networking.
• Potentially extend to CI/build tooling support.
