Job summary

Lockheed Martin's Training, Logistics and Simulation (TLS) Integrated Engineering team seeks a senior software engineer to support training systems for advanced aircraft such as the F-35. You will plan, design, develop, integrate and verify software across the total system life cycle.

The role requires strong object-oriented programming, scripting, IaC, and experience with GitLab CI/CD, Docker/Podman, Kubernetes or OpenShift.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years related experience.
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with containerization and tools such as Docker or Podman.
• Experience scripting in Bash, PowerShell, and Python.
• Experience with Infrastructure As Code (IaC) and Ansible.
• Experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift.

Responsibilities

• Perform tech planning, design, development, integration and verification across the total system life cycle.
• Analyze system capabilities and translate customer requirements into HW/SW feature definitions.
• Ensure SW and HW deployment pipelines, standards, and cyber security practices are followed.

Analyses performed at all levels of syst product incl. concept, design, fabrication, test, instl, operation, maintenance & disposal, incorp design methods & stds for Cyber Security, SW & HW infrastructure. Designs, devels, docs, tests & debugs SW that contains logical & math solutions to business/mission problems/questions in computer language. Ensures the logical & syst conversion of customer/product reqs into total syst solutions that ack tech, sched, cost constraints & align to SW & HW deployment pipelines & factories. Performs func & timeline analysis, detail trade & reqs allocation & interface defs studies to translate customer reqs into HW & SW feature defs & acceptance criteria. Applies stds, processes, procedures & tools throughout the devel life cycle. Applies HW & SW knowledge, cyber security stds in business/mission apps, & feedback from users to develop SW. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles doc of program devel & analyzes syst capabilities to resolve program problems, output/input data acq, programming tech & controls. Ensures SW stds are met. Validates incorp of features & use cases into implemented designs

Basic Qualifications

• Experience with container orchestration via Kubernetes or Openshift
• Strong experience with object-oriented programming languages (such as C++, C#, Python, Ruby, Objective-C)

Desired Skills

• Master's degree
• Advanced Expertise in GitLab CI/CD, including advanced pipeline configuration, job artifacts, and dependency management
• Advanced Expertise with GitLab Runner, including installation, configuration, and management of runners
• Advanced Expertise with Python and bash scripting

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $120600.00 - $224000.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
