Job summary

Lockheed Martin TLS Integrated Engineering seeks a software engineer to design, code, and test real-time training software for high-precision aerospace missions. You will translate requirements into specs, develop C/C++ components, and execute comprehensive test plans across the SDLC.

You will apply standards and tooling to ensure quality, integrate with CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate across teams to deliver mission-critical solutions. U.S. citizenship and clearance readiness are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with C/C++ for real time or safety critical systems.
• Proficiency with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.
• Proven experience using Git and GitLab for source code management, pipeline creation, and CI/CD of builds and automated tests.
• Ability to produce detailed specifications, design documents, and test documentation.
• Familiarity with version control best practices and CI/CD processes.

This position requires a candidate who is a U.S. Citizen and has the ability to obtain an Interim Secret security clearance prior to start. The role is located at a facility that requires special access.

Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 or more years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with C/C++ for real time or safety critical systems.

• Proven experience using Git (branching, merging, pull request workflow) and GitLab for source code management, pipeline creation, and CI/CD of builds and automated tests.
• Ability to produce detailed specifications, design documents, and test documentation.
• Familiarity with version control best practices and continuous integration/continuous delivery processes.

U.S Citizenship Required

Desired Skills

• Experience with aerodynamics, air launched weaponry, missile kinematics
• Development or integration of simulation software (e.g., flight dynamics, sensor models) with emphasis on C++ code and scripted simulation environments
• Experience with linux environments (specifically SLES 11+)
• Experience in Kubernetes / Docker
• Experience in gRPCExperience integrating or interfacing with black box software
• Experience in UML / SysML / MBSE
• Understanding of agile Scrum, SaFE
• Demonstrated capability to debug complex software architecture
• Active Secret Security clearance or higher.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $98100.00 - $182100.00
