Job summary

Youth Civic Accelerator is seeking a Detroit‑based Community Coordinator to drive Michigan FIRE Action’s civic engagement and education efforts. You will work on youth empowerment, community and identity building, and event logistics across Michigan regions.

Ideal candidates are bold, creative, and committed to meeting students where they are, with strong time management and organizational skills. Start date through Nov 17, 2026, with full-time exempt status and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Campus outreach and youth engagement experience is a plus.
• Ability to talk to students and communities with culture-first approach.
• Strong organizational skills and reliability in field work.

Responsibilities

• Lead youth community and membership building efforts across Michigan regions.
• Coordinate events, recruit participants, and support campus meetings.
• Manage social channels and promote civic content to youth audiences.
• Perform data entry and assist Regional Organizers in engaging with students.
