Job summary

Eccalon LLC seeks a highly experienced Science Hiring Manager to recruit for research laboratories, clinical trial teams, and bench-based scientific environments in Detroit. You will partner with scientists, clinicians, and lab leadership to design and execute hiring strategies.

The role requires deep knowledge of wet lab workflows, regulatory requirements (GxP, IRB, FDA), and a track record of building high-performing technical recruitment programs across R&D and clinical operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in technical or scientific hiring.
• Experience hiring for research laboratories, bench-based teams, and clinical trial organizations.
• Strong understanding of laboratory and clinical research environments.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end hiring strategy for research, clinical, and laboratory roles.
• Partner with R&D, Lab Directors, and Clinical Operations to understand staffing needs.
• Translate requirements into effective role definitions.
• Plan hiring aligned with milestones, trial timelines, and lab capacity.
• Design interview frameworks and evaluate candidates on technical and compliance criteria.
• Collaborate with scientists and lab leadership to ensure accurate assessment.
