Job summary

CareWell Health seeks a Nursing Supervisor to implement and supervise nursing services in a medical detoxification unit, guiding shift assistants and training medical staff. The unit serves up to 16 individuals undergoing withdrawal from alcohol, opiates, benzodiazepines, and other drugs in line with organization procedures.

The role requires an NJ-licensed RN with BLS-CPR certification, and prior addictions-management experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and current licensure in New Jersey State as Registered Nurse.
• BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Implements nursing care in accordance with program procedures established by the Medical Director and Supervising Nurse.
• Administer drugs, medications, treatments, inoculations, and tests as allowed by law.
• Implement verbal physician orders and authenticating in writing, within a reasonable time.
• Communicate with physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and pharmacists regarding patient care.
• Pre-screening of new patients for appropriateness for admission, including TB screening.
