Job summary

Acuity International is seeking a Security Manager to oversee all security operations within a detention facility, ensuring the safety of detainees, staff and visitors while maintaining strict compliance with federal standards.

You will lead the security team, manage incident response and investigations, coordinate with officials and law enforcement, supervise access control and surveillance, and maintain detailed records to support secure, humane operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a security-related field.
• 5–7 years of security management experience in detention/corrections.
• Ability to obtain required clearances and pass background investigations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement facility-wide security protocols per PBNDS.
• Supervise perimeter control, access points, surveillance, and detainee movement.
• Lead emergency response planning, drills, and investigations.
• Maintain records and prepare reports for officials and inspectors.
• Coordinate detainee escorts, court transports, and high-risk movements.
• Collaborate with medical, administrative and logistics teams.
