Job summary

Acuity International is seeking a Healthcare Program Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership for health services in a detention facility. You will ensure compliance with PBNDS, NCCHC, ACA, and HIPAA obligations while delivering safe, cost-effective detainee health care.

The role requires a Master’s degree in healthcare administration (or equivalent), 5+ years of senior healthcare leadership, and ability to secure necessary clearances.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in healthcare administration preferred;Bachelor’s degree with significant relevant experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare administration, preferably in correctional, detention, military, or government-contracted healthcare environments.
• Knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations, detention facility healthcare standards, and government contracting compliance.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead diverse teams in a secure environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare management systems (EHR, scheduling, inventory).
• Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized, and have excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain necessary clearances and credentials required for access to detention facilities.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or a person lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence, and must have resided in the United States for the last five years.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory & Contract Compliance: Ensure adherence to government regulations and accreditation standards.
• ACA accreditation: Plans, directs, and ensures activities to establish ACA accreditation.
• NDS Compliance: Maintains operational compliance with NDS medical care standards.
• NCCHC Standards for Health Services: Develops processes to ensure documentation and QA.
• ACA Health Services Design Standards: Aligns health spaces with ACA standards.
• Quality & Risk Management: Develop and maintain quality improvement and risk programs.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Primary contact with government customer, prime contractor, and facility leadership.
• Reporting & Documentation: Ensure timely submission of reports and incident documentation, including SIRs.
• Develop and implement site-specific and system-wide plans, staffing models, and service delivery frameworks.
• Emergency Preparedness: Coordinate emergency medical response planning.
• Infection Control: Oversee infection control program and TB screening.
• Behavioral Health Program: Oversee intake mental health screenings and crisis intervention.
• Pharmacy and Medication Management: Ensure safe medication practices and DEA compliance.
• Other duties and projects assigned.
