Job summary

Acuity International, LLC is seeking a Transportation Security Supervisor to lead guards and transportation teams within a secure detention setting. You will oversee intake/release, housing moves, and court/medical transports while maintaining chain-of-custody procedures.

The role requires 5+ years in detention/corrections or law enforcement with 2+ years in supervision, a valid driver’s license, and ability to obtain necessary clearances. Strong leadership and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

Job description

Primary Function

Leads transportation operations, ensuring safe, humane, and compliant movement and custody of individuals within and between high-security facilities. All services shall be provided in accordance with established standards, principles and ethics of the profession, applicable professional specialty organizations, and the high-quality standard for which Acuity International is recognized.

Job Requirements

• Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• 5+ years of detention/corrections or law enforcement experience with 2+ years in supervision.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable record; EVOC or similar preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with federal privacy standards.
• Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized, and have excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain necessary clearances and credentials required for access to detention facilities.
• Ability to obtain and maintain favorable background investigations.
• Meet the requirements of the contract for all immunizations.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, resided in the U.S. for 3 years in the past 5 years.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must complete all required training.
• Ability to adapt to sudden changes and flexibility in work requirements to include potential shift changes based on operational needs and/or command priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with diverse and high-risk populations.
• Experience with medically complex patients and limited-resource settings.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, or fluency in other languages.
• Has undergone a federal investigation at the level of Tier 2 or higher; has been granted favorable suitability/eligibility and has not had a break in service for more than 24 months.
• Detention center experience.

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions

• Work is performed in a secure detention facility.
• May require evening, weekend, or on-call hours.
• Exposure to emotionally challenging situations.
• Requires physical presence and mobility throughout the facility.
• Participate in drills and emergency responses as assigned.
