Job summary
The Judicial Branch of Arizona in Maricopa County is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care and health-related services to adolescents in a secured detention facility. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team, working a 12-hour shift from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Sunday.
Required qualifications include an Associate’s degree in Nursing, an active RN license (AZ or multi-state compact), and BLS/CPR certifications.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Nursing from an accredited school.
- Active RN license valid by the Arizona State Board or a multi-state compact.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- TB testing for detention positions; successful completion of processing and a negative TB result.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care and treatment per Standardized Nursing Procedures.
- Perform assessments to determine patient condition and care needs.
- Administer medications and address pharmacological needs per protocol.
- Document patient information accurately in the medical record.
- Provide health education and participate in ongoing staff orientation and training.
