Job summary

Judicial Branch of Arizona in Maricopa County is seeking a Housekeeping Attendant to support a Juvenile Detention facility. The role includes cleaning, laundry, and related custodial tasks to maintain sanitary, orderly environments for youth under supervision.

Shifts rotate every four months: 5:00 AM–3:30 PM or 7:00 AM–5:30 PM and require regular weekend/holiday availability. TB testing and background checks are part of the hiring process for facility access.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of experience in commercial laundry, custodial, maintenance, cleaning, or similarly related work experience.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• TB testing and a negative TB result prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes assigned work areas.
• Sorts, washes, dries and folds laundry including clothes, shoes, sheets and blankets.
• Performs custodial tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, trash disposal and restroom cleaning.
• Operates industrial cleaning equipment to strip, wax and buff floors.
• Maintains inventory of clean laundry and distributes it to detention units.
