Job summary

The City of Dallas is hiring a Detention Officer to guard and monitor inmates at the Dallas County Jail or Dallas Inebriate Detention Center. You will process prisoners, conduct searches, and maintain security and safety throughout shifts.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience, plus the ability to pass a background check and drug test. English/Spanish bilinguals are a plus.
