Job summary

GEO Corrections & Detentions is seeking personnel to supervise detainees across living, dining, and recreation areas while ensuring safety and protocol adherence. You will coordinate movements, conduct counts, and respond to emergencies in a fast-paced jail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor detainees in living, recreation, dining, and visitation areas.
• Coordinate their movement (counts and emergency response).
• Ensure program activities stay safe and supervise labor crews.
• Conduct shakedowns for contraband and confiscate prohibited items.
• Keep daily logs on detainees (disciplinary reports).
• Provide assistance to those who have been injured, ill, or traumatized.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to keep facility clean.
