GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Responsible for the monitoring and control of security electronics within the Santa Rosa County Jail. Answers telephone and intercom calls and directs calls to appropriate offices.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Operates control panels and equipment in detention control rooms;
• Coordinates entry and exit into multiple secured areas in normal and emergency conditions;
• Answers telephones and directs calls;
• Monitors audio and video surveillance equipment associated with detention security;
• Answers intercom calls;
• Logs visitors into and out of the facility;
• Monitors and reports inmate behavior which includes foul or profane language and obscene gestures;
• Maintains logs of daily operations;
• Performs related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation from high school or GED.

LICENSE

Applicant must have a valid Florida Driver's License at the date of hire and maintain said license while employed in this position.
