Job summary

Gila County Sheriff's Office is seeking a detail-oriented clerical professional to accurately enter information into multiple databases and support jail operations within a secure detention facility.

You will conduct inmate bookings, process detainee releases, maintain records and prepare jail statistics while providing clerical support and ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and one year of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
• Knowledge of clerical work, customer service, and database management with familiarity of applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inmate booking, complete forms accurately; inventory inmate property and maintain related records.
• Process authorized detainee releases; notify victims; verify documents for completeness before release.
• Update and maintain files, logs, charts and reports; prepare jail statistics and manage supplies.
• Perform court order and employment fingerprinting.
• Process bail and bond payments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
